With the generous help of the Black Barn Vineyards winemaking team in Hawkes Bay, some tightly grained and lightly toasted french oak barriques which had been used in the production of their awesome Syrah were chosen. Back in the distillery they were filled with the highest quality triple distilled dry gin and left to let time and nature do it’s thing.
The result is an exquisite gin with a vibrant fruit nose and a hint of toffee and cinnamon. The initial sweet spice on the palate gives way to a soft piney oak body and a lingering
dry spice finish.
